Changelog
Every version, and what it actually changed.
7.0.0
- 7.0 rebuilds how the escape fund grows. The dream no longer creeps up while you are not looking: the day settles once, and you can see exactly what it was worth — base pay, care, performance, thrift.
- And the room fills. Every milestone you reach buys something real, and it stays: a coin jar, a postcard, a map, a phrasebook, and eventually a suitcase. By the end the cubicle looks like somebody is leaving.
- PLEASE READ: your current employee retires when you install this. He is not deleted — he moves to the Hall of Former Employees, with his name, his face and his years of service, and a new hire starts on Monday. The new economy could not be handed a half-finished dream without spoiling the whole point of it, so this one time everyone starts a fresh employee.
- Your language, volume, schedule, quiet hours and clock are all kept. If the update fails partway, nothing is lost — just try again.
6.2.1
- Two screens were quietly overlapping their own text. Settings had "Back" printed on top of the button hint, and the collection counter sat half inside the title bar.
- Both are fixed. Nothing else changed.
- Your employee, everything earned, every setting: untouched.
6.2.0
- Nothing in the game changed, and nothing on screen looks different.
- Inside, this is the same build we test with — so from now on every release is checked as the exact thing you receive, not a near-identical sibling of it.
- Your employee, everything earned, every setting: untouched.
6.1.1
- Updating is more reliable. If one ever fails, the device now recovers on its own instead of going quiet — and the page simply tries again.
- A few internal fixes that only matter if something had already gone wrong.
- Nothing in the game changed. Your employee, everything earned, every setting: exactly where you left them.
6.1.0
- Half of your future hires are women. The old office was uniform in a way nobody had actually asked for.
- The boot screen now shows the firmware version, so you can tell what you are running without a cable.
- Your current employee keeps the face it has always had — the new faces start arriving with your next hire.
- Nothing was taken: the name, everything earned, every setting, all exactly where you left them.
6.0.2
- This update changes nothing in the game.
- We published it so you can check that updating actually works. Clicking it is the test.
- Your employee, its name, everything it has earned and all your settings are kept.
6.0.1 beta
- Updates now stick. An update could finish, restart, and quietly leave the old version running.
- The way back is honest: the recovery screen names the version it will actually give you.
- Groundwork so that if anything does go wrong, we can tell what happened from one copied report.
6.0.0
- The version your NiuMagotchi arrived with.
- Every update from here on keeps your employee — its name, everything it has earned, and all your settings.
- If an update ever goes wrong, hold both buttons while switching it on. That opens a recovery menu with a way back to the version you had.
